Sung by Clay Chapman. 33:31 Demonstration. 37:50 Eric tells a story about the next song. It is about a young fiddler ‘Gilbo’ from South Louisiana who was recruited to fight in the Civil War. He was a Frenchmen who did not know anything about the war and did not want to fight. In the confusion he spied or committed an offense and was court marshalled and taken in front of a firing squad. He was given one last request before being shot and he chose to sing this song.
